About Northbound

Our story

Northbound Coffee Roasters is a demo store built on the open-source Cartwright engine — and a fully working shop. We roast beans from direct-trade partners in Ethiopia, Colombia and Sumatra, and every bag ships within 48 hours of roasting.

Sourcing

We buy directly from producers we have visited — no brokers. Traceability, fair prices, and quality over volume.

The roastery

Our roastery is in Copenhagen. We roast in small batches on a Probat L12 so every origin gets its own profile: filter beans get a light-medium roast that keeps the acidity bright; espresso blends go slightly darker for body.
